Basic settings SJ Mega K2 News

Module SJ Mega K2 News is designed to display the latest materials from the component K2. Often used for decoration of the home page. Has 3 styles and a large number of options.

After installing the extension, navigate to Extensions -> Module Manager and find SJ Mega K2 News to configure.

SJ Mega K2 News is configured in 5 main groups of parameters as follows:

• General Options
• Source Options
• Item Options
• Image Options
• Advanced Options

Let's look at the parameters in detail:

General Options

• Link Target - Allows you to set target for links: New window; the same window; a pop-up window.
• #Column - Allows you to specify the number of columns for each screen resolution.

Source Options

• Source - Allows to choose one of two sources: to Obtain materials from category; Select specific items.

If you choose to Get the items from the category, you need to fill in settings below:

• Category filter the category Filter allows you to select one or all categories in the component.
• Select one or more categories - Select one or more categories you want to display in this module.
• Child Category Articles - Allows you to display content from sub-categories or not.
• Item count - Allows you to choose the number of items to display. Set "0" to display all of the elements.
• Item Ordering - Choose the order to sort by name alphabetically, etc.
• Featured item - Allows you to show / hide or show only selected materials (for home page).

If you choose: to Choose specific items, you need to fill in settings below:

• Add item - Allows you to select specific items the list of items in K2 component.
• Drag and drop to re-oder item - Allows you to drag the desired material.

Item Options

• Display Title - display the title of the material or not.
• Title Maxlength - the Maximum length of the header element. Set "0" to show the entire title.
• Display Description - Allow output brief description of the material or not.
• Description Maxlength - the Maximum length of item description to display.
• Display Count Comments - Show / hide number of comments material.
• Tags Display - Allow to display tags or not.
• Display Readmore Link - allow to display Readmore link (read more) or not.
• Read More Text - Allows you to insert text for the Readmore link.
• Display View All Link - displays the link View All (View all) or not.
• View All Text - Allows you to insert text links to View All (View all).
• Display More to Display more details or not.

Image Options

To get images from K2 Image:

• K2 Image - Allow to get image from K2 component or not.
• K2 Image Size - Allows you to choose image size in a ComboBox.

Images from the introductory text:

• Inline Introtext - Allows to show / hide the image from the brief description of the material.

Image from the full text:

• Inline Fulltext - Allows to show / hide the image from the full material description.

Get images from folder extensions:

• Extend Folder - Allows you to show / hide the external directory.
• Extend Folder - specify the path to external image folder used by option above.
• Order to Get - to get the picture.
• Resize Mode - Allows selecting mode changes the image size.
• Keep Transparency - Allow to keep transparency of the image or not.
• Width - Set the width of the image for each item.
• Height - Set the height of the image for each item.
• Background - Allows you to set the background color of the image.
• Place holder Path (or Url) Is the Path or URL of default image.
